Email Notification to be sent to top management

Hi,

The process of my organization is such that

PMO register a project and assign PM
Functional Manager/Resource Manager assign resources in Project.
Project manager manage project with assigned resources.

Now my management wants whenever project manager modifies the project plan,
PMO and Resource Manager/Functional Manager notifies through email alert. I
have already configured the proper RBS. Is there any way to fulfill this
requirment.

Yes -

if you have a PWA group that includes all the people that need to be
notified then that's good.
talk to your exchange dudes and ask someone to create a exchange group to be
created that will also include the same people.
in Exchange all distribution groups have an email address i.e
(e-mail address removed) and the 15 people in the distribution group recieve
an email when someone sends to that group... right??? see where I'm going
yet?
no, ok then take the above email address and set the default notifications
on PWA to be that group email address.. Then,,, your good to go.

This is along the same lines on handling "generic project groups" and while
workign with your ProjectPlan you want to assign someone in Sales group the
task so you use the generic exchange dist group as a resource and everyone
gets the task at the same time.

Play around with the configuration to make it work for you but your pretty
close.

Thanks for your reply. As per my understanding then i have to create one
additional task in project template like Notify manager and assign generic
resource to this task so whenever email is sent to this resource it will
escalate to all manager through email distribution.

Yes but after you verify that the people that need to be notified are in a
Exchange Distribution group called: Manager and the Email address is
(e-mail address removed)
in your project plan, you have a generic group called Manager that ties to
the above group. once those are in place, you just assign the "Task" and
once you publish the assignments the group is sent the email, the prople in
the group all get alerted.

There is one exception, your company must be using exchange with no special
adaptions such as IP phone settings from sisco? that can integrate with
exchange but puts the entry for the persons desk phone extension is stored in
the exchange profile in some fields that are specific to exchange.
