Email password clears when domain password expires

Whenever my domain password expires, my email password is cleared and
I have to re-enter it. Does anyone know how to prevent this?

Here are some specs:

Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP3
Micorsoft Office 2003 SP3
RedHat Linux 5.3 Domain Server
