email problem -- msg not deleted from server

Outlook 2007.
Tools->Options->Mail Setup->Email Accounts->(Double-click my account)->More
Settings->check "Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'".
That doesn't appear to be happening.

I also have "remove from server after xx days" checked.

Any ideas on why this is not working?
