Email problems

I just installed Microsoft Office and Outlook Express immediately overtook
my previous email supplier which was Rogers. I can receive email but cannot
send any. I am sharing my connection with a laptop and using a wireless
connection as well as cable/DSL modem. I get a message that says: 0x800CCC78.
Can't figure this one out? Can anyone help....

Outlook Express - OE - is not part of Office. Its part of IE / Win*
Outlook - OL - a completely seperate / different app. is.
Your default email app can be set in Internet Options.

So which are you using, / which do you wish to use?

I mistakenly wrote that Outlook Express took over, it was this program that
was running fine until I installed Microsoft Office and Microsoft OUTLOOK
took over. I now can access Rogers Yahoo, MSN, Outlook Express and OUTLOOK. I
am receiving double emails but cannot send. I just am unsure which one to use
and how to set as a default and where in what window?

If you would like to use the calendar and tasks functions then use Outlook.
If you don' t need all that, then by all means stick with Outlook Express.
To set either as default, go to Control Panel-Internet Options-Programs and
select whichever you want.

A mail client (Outlook, Outlook Express, or any other) is not a mail
provider.

Anything besides "0x800CCC78"? I found a number of links here:

http://www.google.com/search?q=error+0x800CCC78

But knowing the verbose part of the error would be a help.
