Email Quota Discrepancy

Hi,

There is a discrepancy on the mail quota on the Outlook Client. If I delete
a mail of 1 MB, the quota will decrease by 2 MB. Likewise, a 1MB email will
increase the quota by 2MB. However, if i check on the server end (Exchange
Server), the quota will be reflected correctly. In other words, the Outlook
Client will display a quota that is double that of the Exchange Server.

Can anyone explain why is it so?

thank you very much.

I don't have an answer but which of the two quotas does the client work to,
the one on the exchange server or the one on the outlook client

e.g. if exchange say 20mb and the client says 40mb what happens when the
quota gets to 20mb does it stop or continue??
