Appalled & Humiliated

Recipient of mistakenly-sent email should not be told of any attempt to
recall. That only makes it so much worse! Let's say I am going to forward
some information that was sent to me, but it is important that the recipient
not know where the information came from, so my strategy is to hit the
"forward" button, but then to delete all the information that indicates the
source of the information. But, I accidently send it before I can delete
that, and so now the recipient will know the source. I try to recall it, but
now I've only made it worse because not only does the recipient get the
original email, but now he knows I didn't want him to and that I tried to
recall it! You don't generally recall things from your friends! The recall
function needs to be set so that the recipient never know of any attempt to
recall... that is the only way it is safe. Unless this is fixed, I would
never ever use this function. In fact, now that I understand the recipient
is made aware of my attempts to recall, it is amazing I haven't lost clients
because of this!

I think the sender should take an extra two seconds prior to hitting Send
and decide whether or not the message should be sent.

Recall is not supported on hotmail. It doesn't work well with Exchange
either (where it is supported).
