Email recipients don't receive PDF attachments

I use a legal copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Pro with Outlook 2007 as my email
& contacts application. Everything works well except for email attachments. I
receive my Freelance bookings schedule from my agent via email daily with the
latest work schedule updates as pdf attachments. I can open & read these pdf
attachments without any problems. I have been forwarding these onto my wife
via email so we dont have to print anything on paper. Until about 3 weeks
ago, since having to delete & re-install Office 2007 Pro, she was receiving &
opening these attachments without any problems. My wife & many other email
recipients have claimed they are recivive the body of the emails I send, but
no pdf attachments. I have also tried to forward the 'affected' emails to my
BlackBerry, but it too has the same symptom with the attachments missing. My
wife uses Outlook Express 6 as her email app. I have searched for any
settings in both Outlook 2007 & Outlook Express 6 which may have affected the
email attachments, but averything looks in order. It looks as if this PC,
which is the one that receives the attaments but can't forward them, is the
culprit
Anyone out there have any clues as to what can be causing this?

Make sure you have your message format set to Plain Text or HTML. If set to
Plain Text or HTML, then check the contact record of your wife and other
recipients to ensure that they are not marked to received Rich Text
formatted messages. (e.g. Open an existing contact record and then double
click on the e-mail address. The internet format drop down should *not* be
set to Outlook Rich Text.)

Thanks neo. Your tip worked a treat!
I have discovered all my contacts in Outlook with email addresses are set to
Rich Text format. Is there a way to change all my contacts with email
addresses to receive in plain text in bulk?

Thanks for the reply Brian. When I reinstalled Office 2007, the pst files
were still in place, the app found them & all was well. I didn't need to
import anything. I keep any Word or Excel files on another drive, so
shortcuts on the desktop or menu point to them for use.

Hmm... never thought about this. I would try exporting to a comma separated
value (CSV) file, delete the contacts, and then import the CSV. Try this on
a test contact folder first to make sure that it does what you want.
