Email Sending

I do not seem to be able to send emails from Onenote to my email client at
work. The same email is sent to - and received by - my Outlook account with
no problem.

I would assume that an email would be sent to any valid email address
regardless of the email client used. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

OneNote simply utilises the default email application on the computer (in
your case Outlook). So yes, and email generated in OneNote should be
delivered to any valid address assuming the current configuration of your
email application allows sending to that valid address.

If you get an error message on attempting to send, please report it here.
If you get a bounce back email, please report the details here.
If the message appears to be sent but never arrives the first place to check
would be your spam filter at work.
