Email set up for Public Sharepoint Site (ProjectServer 2003 SP2)

Hi all,

At the moment we do not use the notifications and reminders feature of
EPM, we are using ProjectServer 2003 SP2.

The issue I have though is emails are needed for a Share point forum
that has been set up off of the public workspace site. Is it possible
to set up e-mail's for a Share Point Forum without enabling the Emails
and Notifications within PWA?

Yes, you can do this.Simply do not enter the SMTP information in the Project
Server interface.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I can remove the SMTP information within PWA and it does stop the
notifications, however I am looking to enable it for the workspace
site, at the moment when I go to manage the alerts on the forum, it
returns a "virtual server set up error"? I'm not sure of the best way
forward from this as I am not located near the Project Server machine
I am guessing I need someone to set up the SMTP settings there?
