email settings lost on reboot - connect toLAN changes to dialup

having just installed a new wireless ADSL router everything is fine. i can
connect to the web and having changed my email accounts to - Connect to LAN
(rather than dial up) my accounts all work fine. the problem is that if i
turn off my computer and turn on again the connect settings on some email
accounts have reverted to - Connect to dial up rather than my LAN.

I have then to amend the settings again and it works fine - until the next
reboot.

Any help or suggestions??
