I received an email from someone who is using Outlook 2007 on our network. She sent some edited text and used strike-thrus to indicate deleted text. But when I opened it in Entourage, the strike-thrus were missing (the text struck thru was still there).

Is there a way to fix this?

Most likely a limitation in Entourage's HTML rendering engine. Email is
not a medium for detailed markup, I suspect what you're doing would be
better served by editing a Word document and sending it back and forth.

While you can't create a strike through format in Entourage, I am
surprised the display of a strike through was not achieved.

Entourage uses a pretty simple HTML editor to create HTML text, but a
pretty comprehensive display engine to display it - the same engine that
Safari uses to display HTML!

I would have expected Entourage to display the strike through in the
received message, but if you ever hit 'reply' or 'Forward', the strike
through would disappear from the quoted text. Is that what you see? If
so, that's to be expected and there's nothing you can do about it.
Unfortunately.

No, the strike-thru did not show up in the email I was sent from Outlook 2007 and read in Entourage. So it didn't translate from the beginning, Barry.
