Email stuck in Outbox

G'day Everyone
I'm fairly new to this so please bear with me
I'm using Outlook 2007 with SP1 installed plus all updates
It's been absolutely brilliant until a few weeks ago when suddenly emails
wouldn't leave my Outbox
Since then, the only way I can send emails is to shut Outlook down, re-open
it, send a few before it crashes again & then repeat the sequence over & over
until all emails are sent
I read a solution that said to archive the mail folders which I did but it
didn't make any difference
If I use any other email client, my emails send fine - it's only happening
with Outlook 2007
I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary on the first day it crashed
Can anyone help me please as I'd like my old Outlook back :)

I'd first try runnoing Outlook in safe mode to see if that made a
difference. Hold the Ctrl key down when you start Outlook. If Outlook
behaves, you likely have an add-in causing the problem. After that I'd try
Help>Office Diagnostics to try to repair Outlook. After that, I'd try a new
mail profile.

G'day Brian
Thank you very much for trying to help me
I have done all you said but now Outlook will not open at all
If I re-install Office, will I lose all my emails/folders in Outlook?
Thanks again

Even in safe mode? Any error messages?

Uninstalling Outlook does not touch your data, but it's always a good idea
to make a backup (just copy the PST) before performing anything major.

G'day Brian

Even in safe mode it wouldn't open - no error message

I've re-installed the Suite but although all is working (I can send &
receive emails etc) I still have the same problem

I do a lot of work for an online charity project so gets 100's of emails a
day - I start replying & before I know it, I have anywhere between 20 - 80
odd emails banked up in my outbox

I cannot get these emails to clear other than by shutting down Outlook,
re-opening, sending a few & then repeating that sequence over & over until
they've all gone - can take me literally hours to do what should be a couple
of hours work

I honestly do not know if an update was installed on the day it started
happening so would it be worth uninstalling all updates (Windows & Office?)
from approx when it started doing this?

I'm running Vista Ultimate if it makes any difference

Thanks so much for trying to help me

Some mail providers limit the number of messages one can send within a
specific period of time. Did you check with your mail provider to see if
that's the case? Other than that, I can't think what may be happening.
