I had to have my harddrive replaced a few months ago, and
since then I can not receive material sent to me through
microsoft word 2000. It ask that I enter the 25 numbers
that were listed on the cd case, but I did not receive a
case with the cd that came with the computer. It was
originally installed with the computer, and I re-
installed it when the harddrive was replaced. Since I do
not know these numbers, then I can not open the mail.

Well, this is a Macintosh Word group, and I suspect you are using a PC, but
you need to contact the manufacturer you bought the computer from in order
to get a new CD key to reinstall/activate the program. If a Certificate of
Authenticity came with the program, the number may be on there.

Perhaps the Word Viewer program would also work for you, if all you need to
do is open Word documents others are sending you.

Again, Dayo is correct: you need to get that number. You can get it only
from the company that sold you the computer: you cannot get it from
Microsoft.

Microsoft sold the software to the company that sold to you at a huge
discount on the condition that they provide support. If that company will
not provide support, you can ring Microsoft, but please expect them to
charge for this service, since the price they sold the Office Software for
does not cover the cost of answering support calls about it.

Hope this helps
