email vanishes

I have a client who has e-mails that are sent to him from
him, he recieves them, then seconds later they just
disappear from the in box and they are gone not in deleted
items folder just gone.
he is using outlook 2000

Down Home

Had a similar thing happen to us. Turned out to be an incorrectly set up
rule that was 'Permanently Delete' (ing) ALL incoming mail that was not from
a specific contact. Check your rules with menu : Tools > Rules Wizard

Check View | Current View and make sure it's not set to Unread Messages.
Also make sure the client is not sorting his Inbox by the Icon column.
