email with restricted permissions and verify credentials Outlook 2

I cannot open or forward a message from one of my colleagues. When I
highlight it, it reads "message with restricted permissions cannot be viewed.
Open the item and verify your credentials. I get other emails from this
person, but occasionally ones come in with this message.

How do I verify credentials on individual emails and how can I prevent this
from happening in the future
