I am using outlook 2007...I can receive email but cannot not send...the
emails sit in my out box...previously I was getting a pop up box wanting my
password which I could not get rid of...I called Comcast and I believe that
problem disappeared?
Can anyone shed any light on my current problem

Not sure, but I'd assume this has to do with authentication on the
outgoing mail server (SMTP). If you're using an e-mail address on
another domain than Comcast, you might need to activate authentication
on SMTP, or change SMTP to be the one of Comcast.
