Emailing personal DL around 400 addresses...the operation failed?

When trying to send an email to a personally created Distribution List of
around 400 users with different email addresses I sometimes face this issue
.... The Operation Failed .... and the mail is not sent and it happens when it
is the most important mail, does that means one of the email address of the
member of the DL is invalid or is there a permanent solution so that it never
occurs or a HOTFIX ... cheer

DL's are not intended for and do not work reliably for more than just a
handful of recipients. There is no reason to attempt to use one for 400
recipients.

It could aslo be that your ISP doesnt permit sending that number.

does that mean i shuldnt maintain this big DL, how many members do u suggest
should be in one DL microsoft suggests upto 700, there is a reason to send it
to 400 members as in marketing you need to get different prices from
different colleagues and counterparts.. dont u agree
