Emails composed using word as editor will not send...

I have just set up outlook 2000 on a laptop, previously I have had it running
on my desktop with no problems at all. Emails are being received with no
problems, however, only messages composed in plain text are sending, as soon
as word is used as editor (ie. HTML format), they will not send, they just
sit in my outbox. Its very frustrating - I hope I am not doing anything
stupid. If anyone can shed any light on this, I would be VERY grateful!
