emails deleted on Mac do not delete from system

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I receive emails contemporaneously on the Mac and the office desktop. however, when I delete the email, either from the Mac or the desktop, it doesn't delete from the other machine or from my iPhone which is also on the Exchange server. (not a problem when I delete from iPhone - message does delete from server)

Any help appreciated

CORRECTION: The failure to delete occurs only when the delete is on Entourage - the corresponding message does not delete from the server or desk top

Entourage will reflect what you would see in Outlook Web Access (OWA).
Connect to your account using OWA. Are the changes shown there?

Also, if you see this in just one or a handful of folders then
right-click or Control-click that folder, select Folder Properties and
click the Empty button to empty the cache. You can also select the
account itself and empty the cache for all of your folders.
