info:
outlook 2003 without an exchange server
use a third party site. ex. mail.site.com
and a pst in the default location 'c:/doc and setting/......'
all day the user was recieving emails.
at the end of the day he was moving emails from his inbox to the folders he
wanted. audits, project A, etc.
at some point and only the email he recieved today, that were left in the
inbox disappeared. the ones he recieve yesterday were still there.
he checked every folder and could not find them.
auto delete is not set, he manually deletes, and there were still items in
the delete folder nor are there any rules set. non-listed.
we did an advance find for all emails recieved today and it show the missing
one as being in the sent folder, opening the sent folder, we still could not
see them.
we move the email from the find results back to the inbox and they reappeared.
it is if they were between folders not in one and not in the other.
any idea why this is? is there a patch?
I was able to recreate the condition.
moved all emails for one day from indox to sent folder (left older ones).
moved all emails from sent foldaer for that day back (inculded the sent
ones, left older ones)
moved the real sent items back to the sent folder, left the recieved one in
the inbox.
in a few minutes the email, for that day, that were left in the inbox moved
back to the sent folder and would not show up in the folder list.
did the advance find , found the inbox missing item , location listed as
sent items.
TIA
