Emails don't mark as read

In office 2007 beta 2, email messages dont "mark as read" if you look at them
and delete them sstraight away. You have to move off them to get them "read"

Is this deliberate?

Hi MatVic,

I presume you have the reading pane open? You can alter the behavior of
how Outlook marks messages as read with Tools, Options, Other, Reading
Pane.

Don't abuse the suggestion feature for this.

The behavior you see can be caused by several add-ins which are not Outlook
2007 compatible yet. It's best that you don't run this BETA without any 3rd
party add-ins and rename the outcmd.dat and extend.dat files to .old
