Emails have disappeared

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: imap

This is my 1st visit to the forum so I hope someone can help with this problem?

On Monday earlier this week I had 4 emails in my Entourage INBOX I briefly glanced over them however, 3 out of 4 seemed empty whilst 1 had an attachment. As I've returned to read these I found my INBOX no longer has these!!!!

1. Is it possible that Entourage accepts recalls without me knowing
- did I inadvertently accept 2 recalls!
2. if so, is there a means to reverse the process to get these emails back, or
3. is there a Entourage or other log file somewhere that I can audit mondays events
4. what does Entourage do with 'recalled' emails. Are they deleted, are they placed in the trash, surely they couldn't just vanish!
5. is there a tool to perform so recovery for Monday?

Hope some Entourage entrepreneur's out there can help.

Nope.
Entourage won;t do it. It might be a feature on your server though, but
I haven't seen that before.

Can you access the same server through IMAP?? They might still be there.
I suspect you might have a corruption in the account.
You might want to rebuild your identity (press option down as you launch
the application) to see whether they could come back.

Not really,

As far as I know, Entourage doesn't support recalls. It's not a stadard
function.
I've had recall e-mails sitting in my inbox multiple times - right next
to the original message.

5. is there a tool to perform so recovery for Monday?

Unless you have backups you manage on your Mac, that's something that
might be done server-side.

I suspect you have chosen View --> Unread Only to hide read messages.
Select it again to show your messages.
