emails lost in outlook express v6

Hi,
I was consulting my inbox when suddenly some emails were lost.
I tried to import all my dbx files stored in my hard drive but I didn't
find my lost emails.
How can I loose my emails (not all my emails) if I didn't delete them?
The emails lost are very important to my job.
I haven't did a backup.
Please IT is urgent
