emails not appear in inbox but folder count shows emails are prese

I download eight emails to my inbox with "Send Receive" The unread count
showed eight but I couldn't see my emails. I moved all emails out of my
inbox and still the unread count of eight still showed. I sent myself a test
email and the inbox unread count increased to nine. I have no anti-virus
program running.

I copy the contents of the inbox to a new folder. The new folder showed 9
unread messages but no messages could be seen.

I am using Outlook 2007. It had all worked properly previously for about a
month.

Has anyone had this problem.

It now works again. I rebooted my computer, but that did not fix it. Some
how while searching through IE and going back and forth to outlook. The
emails appeared.
