emails sent by my acct, but not by me

My email account at hotmail sent 3 emails, one to one of my professors and
two to my work address. I did not send these emails and am concerned. Does
anyone know anything about glitches occurring? I admit I might have sent
these emails before, like 3 months ago..but I know I did not send them again.
