Emails Showing up as a "."

Eric

Hello,
I have a PC running XP Pro with Office 2002 SP-1 on it
and it connects to a SBS 2003 Exchange server. I have
imported contacts from Netscape into outlook and
everything worked fine. Now, all of a sudden when I
right-click a contact and select "new message to
contact", i get an error
"error creating new mail. This may be caused do to an
incorrect email address for a contact or an invalid name
of a distribution list."
Also, if I start a new message, and click the TO: to
select from Outlook Address book, select a contact and
hit to, it puts only a "." in the field.
This happens on all contacts for this user only.
Everyone else's works just fine.

Any Ideas?
Eric

If the import worked successfully, why do you think you get a "." instead of
the email address?
Examine the Email field. What do you see?

If I go to the book and open the contact, everything is
filled in just fine. If I go to NEW>Mail MEssage and
click TO: all the books that should show up do and the
entries are there. If I select a name and then click to,
or CC or BCC, a period shows. If I go to the same
address book on a different PC, I see the same things
except an address shows up when I click TO: BCC: or CC:.

This is really strange. Thanks for your help so far.

You still did not tell me what the actual "E-mail" field shows for these
Contacts.
