Using Outlook 2002, and always use HTML format - Suddenly last week my sent
Word attachments were being received as Winmail.dat files. My setting under
Outlook's Internet options are checked for "convert to HTML". IfI convert
the Word files to PDF then send, they're received as is.
I've seen plenty of postings about RTF formats converting in Outlook to
Winmail but nothing yet about problems with HTML. The problem persists
whether or not I have Word selected as Editor. This happened suddenly late
last week. I have no Outlook add-ons. I even changed to Plain text as a
trial and they were received as winmail.dat as well.
I've checked and unchecked Outlook settings, restarted, scanned for viruses,
run a registry doctor, rebooted but no joy. Maybe Ms Palin can help...I feel
she's watching!
