emails with zip attachments going missing

My ISP in New Zealand www.xtra.co.nz has just upgraded their mail servers in
association with Yahoo. I now find that when I send an email from Outlook
with a .zip attachment it just disappears and does not reach its intended
destination although it shows as being 'sent' in my Outlook program. Anyone
got any ideas why this is happening. It doesn't happen with .doc attachments
or .pdf files.

Make sure you are sending in HTML or Plain Text format and not Rich Text.

Yes, that's OK too. I've now discovered Outlook refuses to send any .mdb
attachments with an error message saying they are potentially unsafe. Where
do I tweak those settings?

I had exactly the same problem when my employer upgraded their mail
servers some time ago. Outgoing mail with certain attachments would
simply disappear with no notification. The mail admin kept insisting for
more than a week that it was not their problem. Eventually they found
that it was their problem and they fixed it.

Tell your ISP to test it themselves, and then fix it.
