I have previously been able to embed an Excel 2007 chart in Word 2007 so that
the copy in Word did not change if changes were made in Excel. This was done
by copying the Excel chart and doing an ordinary paste into Word. Over the
past week or so something has changed. The so called embedded charts are now
changing when I modify the Excel spreadsheet (if both files are open). I
know about taking extra steps using the Paste option button but I don’t want
to have to do these extra steps. This has happened on both my work computer
(Win XP prof) and home computer (Vista). By the way this is happening even
though Update method for selected link is set to Manual update. Any ideas?
