Embed a video on web site

Mark Flynn

I went to embed a video on a web page by: Insert > Picture > Video. I
located the .mp4 video file and chose "Open". What I got was a tiny little
icon in the upper left hand corner that resembles a forward leaning figure
with a little red box behind his head.
Question?: Does FP 2003 not support .mp4?. And, if not, how can I convert
..mp4 to a compatable format. And where can I go to figure out how to imbed
video in FP. BTW - thus .mp4 video file is 2.9 MB is size.
Thanks, Mark

save and preview the page in a browser.
stuff like this requires a browser preview to thoroughly check out.
I don't think the MP4 will have anything to do with FrontPage, it'd be more
of a server/ browser issue if it won't play.
for instance, the server may not know what an MP4 is (MIME Type) or the
browser won't know what to do with it even if the server does hand it off.

One way or another you can get this working, don't give up.
