Embed Sounds in Web Page

I would like to use a hotspot to play a wav or midi file. When I do that,
Media Player is opened. Is there a way to do this so it just plays the sound
without visibly loading WMP or QT or whatever?

I waited around to see if someone could offer a better answer...but no, what
you want to do is not supported in Publisher to my knowledge.
