Embed table in Excel Chart

I have inherited a spreadsheet containing a chart. The
chart has a "floating" table containing with data from
another part of the workbook.

When I single-click on the table, the following text is
shown in the formula bar...

=EMBED("Microsoft Excel Worksheet","")

If I double-click on the table the "hidden" table appears.

I want to create this same effect in another chart, but
I'm puzzled at how to set this up. I know it's possible
to create a linked embedded object from excel into word or
another application, but how to do this withing excel?

Thanks

Andy

I tried to do this but failed. Even tried copying from Excel to Word (as
link) and then copying the linked object to Excel - it became a picture.
Let us know if you solve the mystery.

Yes, I tried that too. It comes back from Word looking
fine, but it doesn't auto-update.
