Embed WORD into website

HI

I know how to embed a .doc into a .ppt. (Insert, Object,
Create from file, and then right click and choose action
settings - "open."

I cannot embed a doc into my Publisher website. I
followed the same sequence, but I chose "activate" doc
because "open" was not one of the options.

Help! Any clues?
