embedded asian fonts problem

I create a new presentation and it seems to embed asian fonts. When I give
to a client they get an error message regarding not having the font when
they open the presentation.

When I try to replace the font I get a message that I can't replace a 2 byte
font with a 1 byte font. Apparently asian fonts are 2 byte and others are
1.

How can I adjust the fonts in powerpoint to avoid embedding asian fonts.

thanks

Hi Stan,

Mac PowerPoint does not have the ability to embed fonts.

However, there are some system fonts that appear to be asian fonts that
are required for PowerPoint to work. Characters from these fonts are
used by MacOS and PowerPoint, so if you remove those fonts from the
computer then you'll get a message concerning missing fonts.

Open a blank presenation then use FILE > PROPERTIES and click on the
CONTENTS button. You'll see that Arial and MS P-something or other are
used. Put the missing font back into the mix and the message will go away.
