embedded documents problem

I am running word 2000

If I try to embed something like a mathcad spreadsheet
which takes up a page I get a 2 in by 2inch square with
just the top right hand corner of the spreadsheet.

If I try to link to or embed a multi-page word document
all I ever get is the first page of the linked document.

enlarging the square just magnifies what is in the square,
it does not include more of the original document.

This issue is definately not addressed in the Help files.

Please can anyone help

Hi John,

Try selecting the area of the Mathcad spreadsheet that you
want to display, copy it to the clipboard and then, In
Word, use Edit|Paste Special, where you should get an
option in the list of available formats that includes
somthing described along the lines of "Mathcad spreadsheet
object". Alternatively, if you want Word to update if your
Mathcad spreadsheet changes, you may prefer to select
the 'link' option.

Thanks that works.

Is there any logical reason the insert object route cannot
accomplish the same thing?
