Embedded excel charts resize automatically

In my reports created in publisher I usually embed excel chart objects so I
can edit the data directly from publisher and use the reports and charts over
and over. In many instances, when I double click the chart to edit it, it
expands and distorts forcing me to re-size and reformat the text to the
original size. Is there any way to keep this from happening?
