Embedded Excel Files

alex

I am running a Mac G5 (motorola processor) and Mac Os 10.4.10 and office 2004 for Mac. I was able to see excel sheets embedded in Word but now all I see is the command and have to open the chart using view menu and object. Any ideas where the glitch is and do I have to reload the program? If so how do I save the hundreds of autotexts I have accumulated over the years?

Thanks for any help

Go to View>Preferences and uncheck "Field codes". You have hit a key by
mistake and caused Word to display field codes instead of their results.

You may be able to correct this by right-clicking the object and choosing
"toggle field codes", but using the preference does the lot at once.

Hope this helps
