I have a web page that opens embedded Excel in one of its frames. There is a dropdown list to move from one Excel file to another.
I am able to view the first Excel file that opens up by default. All the Excel behavior is as expected. However, when I select a different file from the dropdown list, and move on to the next XLS, the focus is not set correctly on the frame.
I am unable to click on a cell or modify any content. If I Alt-Tab to a different application window and return back to my IE, I am now able to click on the cells. But the same scenario is repeated when I move to the next XLS on the dropdown list.
If I attempt too many times to click on a cell, Excel throws a GPF (unable to read a certain address in memory) and exits.
Any help/suggestions/MS - KB articles will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Vijay
