Embedded excel worksheets in word

Since Office v. X I have been unable to embed excel worksheets in word that
contain more than five columns. Can anyone tell me that I have been doing
something wrong OR tell me if 2004 fixes this problem?

Always worked for me, in both X and 2004 ??

My repro steps :

In XLS, create 14 col 2 line sample
Copy this 14x2 area
In word do a Edit/paste special / as XLS object

Works !

Be award that Office on Mac is not (unfortunately) offering the "in source
document' OLE editing like in Win. So if you first created a 2x5 table in
XLS and want to "extend" the view latter on to 4x16 you will need to
copy/paste special the XLS again.
