Embedded OLE Server

ron

i have a blank powerpoint file with only 1 slide...
amazingly, the file size is about 6MB...
after much analyzing, i found that the file consists of an embedded OLE
Server component. i saw thru the properties page under the content tab it
display the embedded OLE Server...

i created a new blank file... it is only 8KB... looking at the properties
page, it does not have embedded OLE server....

now, my question is how can i remove this embedded OLE Server component???

Your advise is greatly appreciated...

thanks, cheers

Open the Ole object by double clicking on it. The program that opens the
file may have a 'save as' function. If it does, save the file as a JPG or
PNG.

Lesson: Cut & Paste often brings more than just the picture. You are
better off not using Cut & Paste with slides, instead save image files to
the hard drive then insert the image (and, that way, only the image) into
the slide..
