Embedded Sound

Carl

Greetings from Downunder
I just created a small pps on my desktop PC (using XP Pro and Office 2003)
and embedded a sound file of 2.7 Mb (increased my allowance to 3000 Kb), and
tested it and it worked fine. I then copied it to a USB drive to run it on
my laptop (using XP Pro and Office 2007) and the pps ran, but with no sound
at all. Do I have to do something different to the file to make it work
properly?
All help always gratefully appreciated.

Hello from the sweltering Festival City :)

You can only embed .wavs - what type of file is your sound file?

Have a read of this which includes a link to PFCExpress (free!):
Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation

Hello again Lucy,
The particular piece of music I used is a .wma file. As I said, when I
tested it on the desktop PC (which I used to create the pps) everything
worked fine.
Could it be the pps remembered the path?
The weather is great in Redcliffe too...!

Hi Carl

If you want to add the file to a usb drive I would suggest using file ->
package for cd -> copy to folder -> copy the contents of the folder to your
usb stick. Does that work?
