Embedded Spreadsheet

I am using an embedded spreadsheet in a Word document, which serves as a
sophisticated calculator. In our network, all users have Windows XP Pro and
Office XP installed, including the OWC.

When I send a Word document to another user, they can see the spreadsheet
component, but it appears with a border and handles and is unusable to the
recipient. Is this a Word setting that the recipient can change, or is there
a more subtle licensing issue involved?
