Embedding Macros into a word Document

B

Beeliney

I am new to using macros and I think there is something wrong with the way in
which I have tried to use them.

I have created a form in Word and have set up the macro to spell check the
completed form. This works fine on my computer. However when I save the
form onto my memory pen and use it on a different computer the macro has
seemingly disappeared.

I am sure that there must be something very obvious and easy that I havent
done. Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks

Hi Beeliney,

You may want to check to see if you saved the macros into the document or into your 'Normal' template as well as see what the
security settings are for the 'other' computer. It may be set to not allow macros to run.

You can use the link below to followup in one of the MS Word specific discussion groups. When posting there please include the
version of Word you're using and specifics on the macro.

Note too that it is generally not recommended to use Word documents from a removable drive but to first copy them to a permanent
drive and then open them.

Thanks Bob

You say that I should check to see if I saved the macro into the document or
into my normal template, which is it that I want to do - the document I would
assume.
The other computer is set up to allow macros to run as I have opened and
used documents created by others with macros in.

Thanks for the tip about copying a document to the computer rather than
using it straight from the removeable drive.
