A style is a document is a style. Every unique paragraph type should have
its own style. A simple method would be to create a set of paragraph styles
for your tenders that have unique style names and are not based on other
styles. These styles would then be unaffected by any documents you append,
and as the appended documents don't have the documents styles, they would be
unaffected by the tender styles.
If these documents are appendices, why not simply refer to them in the
tender and print the documents separately. Then they are completely
unconnected. Keep the files for a particular tender in a dedicated folder to
avoid confusion later.
