Embedding Videos into Word Docs from places like YouTube

Is there a way to embed video files from websites like YouTube into a
Word file so that when someone opens them with an internet connection,
they will display?

Not in Mac Word, no.

Later versions of PC Word can do this, but probably not with YouTube, which
uses a proprietary format.
