Embedding Videos using PowerPoint 2007

I am trying to embed videos in Power point slides. The video clips are in
..MOV format. I understand that .mov is not a compatible format. Is there a
way I can convert the video clips in other format which is supported by Power
Point. If yes, then what utility is required to convert the video clips?

I'd use QuickTime Pro to convert the file to WMV.

However, you cannot embed WMV into PPT, either. Video is linked, regardless.

Create a hyperlink point to mov file, and play the mov file with
QuickTime Player for Windows.
