embedding Visio graphics into word

Does anyone know if it is possible to insert a Visio document (or part of a
visio document) into a Word (2007 or 2010) file not as an OLE object but as a
drawingML? I know it is possible to do so as an eml or wml, but these are nto
ideal format for an ISO standard OOXML file format.
