AFAIK, there is no way around the licensing feature. Hopefully MVP Austin
Myers will pop in and offer his opinion, he is much more versed on this
subject than I am.

Michael Koerner [MS PPT MVP]
| Okay. Very interesting and helpful to a point.
| The problem has been pinpointed.
|
| When I ran "mplay32.exe" the MP3 ran fine, the WMA files came back with
the
| following message "A problem occured in initializing MCI".
|
| Wait a minute. I think, I found the problem. When I go to file
properties,
| the WMA files I purchased (at least I think I purchased them) over the
| internet have "Protected Content" when looking at "License Detail" tab.
The
| few WMAs that seemed to come with the computer don't even have a "License
| Detail" tab, and I can insert these WMAs without the "License Detail" tab
| successfully into PowerPoint.
|
| Why can I play the WMAs outside of PowerPoint with Windows Media Player,
but
| not inside PowerPoint with mplay32.exe?
|
| Any easy way to get around this problem? I am not sure the few files I
want
| come as MP3s.
|
| Thank you very much for all your help.
