Embedding xml into a presentation

You can add custom properties to a presentation, slide of shape by
using the Tags property. This property includes a set of keys and
values.
My question: is there any way I can embed XML information (which is
actually a set of nested tags and values) into a presentation?

Tags are strings. You can store any XML you like into a tag.
It'd be up to you to form the XML then parse it, of course.
