Embeddling links in Outlook 2007

P

Prasant

HI

I am using Outlook 2007.

This is regarding embedding attachments or calendar links in the html e-mail.

Earlier while using Outlook 2003, I used to follow a small procedure of
embedding the links inside e-mail. That was very easy in Outlook 2003.

PRESENT PROBLEM

After migrating to Outlook 2007, I am unable to embed the links like how I
used to do earlier. As Outlook 2007 has Word 2007 as a default editor, I see
Word editing and hyperlinking options as a default in Outlook. I am unable to
see the previous outlook (2003) editing and hyperlinking options. Therefore,
I am unable to embed the attachments like calendar, pdf files inside the
e-mail.

Hence, please let me know the embedding attachments procedure in the Outlook
2007.

Below is the embedding links procedure used in Outlook 2003 (earlier). Now
the below options are not visible in Outlook 2007 because it has Word 2007 as
a default editing and hyperlinking option.

1) After creating HTML email in Word, attach all the links in Word file as
usual and send mail to our id. Use send to mail receipent in Word to get the
mail in Outlook inbox.
2) Open the mail, Goto Edit>Edit Message. The mail will become an editable
mail.
3) Select the text/object which you want to create link, Goto Insert>Hyperlink
4) In the Type, select "Others" and in URL give the filename with extension.
(you can copy from the folder/explorer or type exactly). Do the same for all
the links.
5) Forward the message to ourself again. A message appears with all the
links embedded and no attachments seen in the main bar.

THE ABOVE PROCEDURE IS FOR OUTLOOK 2003 FOR EMBEDDING ANY KIND OF LINKS.
Again, the above hyperlinking options are not visible in Outlook 2007.

Hope someone will have a valuable answer, other than uninstalling 2007.
Please note that I cannot change back to 2003.

Thanks
